homemade place cards

December 24, 2013

these sweet, little place cards take about ten minutes. and they are just the thing to give your table a little dazzle for the holidays!

you only need 5 things:

pinecones
gold glitter & glue
{or gold glittery spray paint}
holly berries
paper
gold sharpie

1 - you will want to do the pinecones first so they dry. you can either lightly spray paint them, or paint glue on the ends of the pinecones and sprinkle the glitter on.

2 - cut your paper (you could buy pre-cut paper too) into 3x6 squares, and cut your holly berries into 4 inch segments.  if you really want to cheat, you can buy pretend holly berries at most craft stores!

3 - punch a baby hole in the corner of the card {use scissors because a hole punch hole is too large} and almost thread the holly berries through. i bent the extra ends behind the card to hold them in place.

4 - find someone with pretty handwriting and have them write the names on :) i just used a gold sharpie.

5 - then wiggle the cards into the grooves of the pinecones, grab your christmas china and voila!
