veuve clicquot polo classic

June 2, 2014

the seventh annual veuve clicquot polo classic was this past saturday, so my sister, my friends and i went to get in on the fun!

we woke up early and had mimosas at one of my friend's, then hopped on the ferry and headed to the match.

pretty sea of umbrellas and lady liberty.

we found our spot, set our picnic blanket {turkish towel} down and got to clinking!

there were lots of food trucks there, but we, naturally, stood in the longest line ever to get red hook lobster rolls. totally worth it. so good.

we watched the match too, don't worry.  i even learned that each period in a polo match is called a chukker!
and we cheered for nacho, of course.

i'm not sure there is a prettier view of the city than from liberty state park...

my sister :)

you can find my outfit here! my sister's top is hereher skirt here and her clutch here.

painterly lemons.

and pretty patterns.

it was a perfect last day in may, until it decided to pour down rain for twenty minutes. but we stuck the rain out and made the most of it :)

it was perfect day in my book. until next year!
