feel good tea

i was one of the lucky ones to get the flu last week (which was awful - take your vitamin c and wash your hands!!), but i also discovered the most amazing tea recipe, so i wanted to share it with you guys. if i had a fireplace in my massive new york east village mansion (lol if only) i would totally cozy up next to it with my favorite blanket and drink it. but i don't, so i settled for cozying up on my love seat with my favorite blanket and watched netflix... here is the recipe, it is great for fighting colds which is why i made it, but also good just to feel yummy and warm inside!

small piece of french ginger (about 1/2 inch), minced
pinch of turmeric
pinch of cinnamon
tiny pinch of pink sea salt crystals
tiny pinch of red pepper cayenne
juice from 1/2 of a small lemon
1 tsp of raw honey
(you can get all of these ingredients from trader joes!)

put everything except for the honey into your favorite mug, pour in the boiling water and let sit for 5-10 minutes so that the water can soak in all of the nutrients. then add in your honey. everything will sink to the bottom - i leave it but if that bothers you, you can pour into a new mug.
